A digital retinal camera provides a photographic, electronic record of the back of the eye. The detail captured in these images is extraordinary and patients are able to look together with the optometrist at their own eyes. This is an essential tool in both detection and monitoring of retinal diseases, especially important for all people with diabetes who require yearly examinations. We are serious about looking after the health of your eyes and keeping you educated about any changes we find
But that’s not all - we have the very latest development in technology designed for the detection of glaucoma. The HRT 2 scanner creates a 3D image of the optic nerve which allows for a better analysis of the nerve and a detailed comparison over your future visits. Research indicates that this technology will assist in the detection of glaucoma at a much earlier stage than previously possible |
After pre-testing you will visit a consulting room to complete refraction and any other test required. It's here that contact lens examinations and fittings take
place
After the clinical examination you will be shown to the retail area. The dispenser is provided with a printed prescription and the optometrist makes recommendations and discusses any special optical
requirements
